Hey beloved roleplayers!

For over a year now we've been slowly building RPHQ up to what we dream it to be. Since then, I've spent most of my free time trying to keep that momentum going. Without the help of certain dedicated individuals (you know who you are!) I wouldn't have the energy left to keep going. We've made some incredible progress but there are still big dreams to fulfill!

If you agree with those dreams, I urge you to check out the thread linked below. It is a list of projects and positions at RPHQ that we'd like to get off the ground.

The primary goals of this site remain A) to give RPers a place to work together, be inspired, hang out, etc and B) to spread the word of roleplaying to those who don't know about it.

However, a secondary goal of RPHQ.org has always been to make it possible for dedicated roleplayers/creative people to get paid to do what they love. We would love to have a large enough viewer base to make some of that money off of ads one day, but we also have plans for a store where you can buy RPG gear, books and merchandise. Additionally, we do have a Patreon donation page, all of which goes straight into this site!

For now, these positions are on a volunteer basis, but perhaps one day we can make both our primary and secondary goals a possibility!

General Positions

Main Site Webmaster

Prerequisites: Familiarity with Squarespace
Details: Our homepage requires a dedicated individual to regularly update and keep it looking visually appealing. Additionally, the Main Site Webmaster will deal with any tech issues which arise.

Pagemaster

Details: Help me continue to build our website by adding new pages. Even if you've never used Squarespace before, it is easy enough to learn and he is willing to teach you.

Graphics Designers

Details: We are always looking to add to the visual appeal of the website with custom-made graphics. If you're willing to donate some time, we have several art projects in need of doing.

Community Team

Community Team Leader

Prerequisites: Experience in community/team leadership, serious dedication to RPHQ
Details: Organize the various community projects and serve as a go-to for your team members. Work closely with myself and other team leaders to continue building RPHQ's online legacy!

Event/Games Coordinator

Prerequisites: Experience in community events helps, but isn't necessary
Details: We will soon have a better Events page which will feature details for the various games which are running in our community, this page will require regular updating. We'd like to expand it to include other events as well but require someone to come up with ideas and make them happen. This person will also work with the Tabletop RP Mod to help facilitate online tabletop RPs through our site.

Forums Webmaster

Prerequisites: Familiarity with Enjin
Details: There are various additions and modifications we'd like to make to the forums. Additionally, the Forums Webmaster will deal with any tech issues which arise.

Forum Admins

Details: Keep the forums organized and civil, encourage discussion and innovation, tag and personally welcome new members

Forum RP Moderators

Prerequisites: A great deal of forum RP experience, past work as a forum Mod helps too
Details: Moderate the Forum RP board, maintain at least one active forum RP of your own, encourage forum RP in general

Contest Creators

Details: Create and maintain contests of creativity and skill for our members to enjoy and compete in

Networking Team

Networking Team Leader

Prerequisites: Experience in community/team leadership, serious dedication to RPHQ
Details: Organize the various networking projects and serve as a go-to for your team members. Help us reach out to other RP groups in order to work together and cross-advertise. Keep our presence known throughout the internet via social media and other outlets. Work closely with myself and other team leaders to continue building RPHQ's online legacy!

Networking Diplomats

Prerequisites: Experience in community leadership helps, but isn't necessary
Details: Reach out to other RP groups in order to work together and cross-advertise

Facebook Chiefs

Prerequisites: Knowledge of Facebook
Details: Regularly update our Facebook page with RP-related posts, new content, highlights from the forums and site news

Instagram Intelligentsia

Prerequisites: Knowledge of Instagram
Details: Regularly update our Instagram page with submissions from the community and cool RP images from around the web

Content Team

Content Team Leader

Prerequisites: Experience in community/team leadership, serious dedication to RPHQ
Details: Brainstorm and coordinate with our content creators in order to keep RPHQ producing fresh, quality content regularly. Serve as a go-to for your team members. Work closely with myself and other team leaders to continue building RPHQ's online legacy!

Audio/Video Editor

Details: If you don't already know how, I will teach you the basics of a/v editing. Help us edit new and current shows.

Character Spotlighter

Details: Create and maintain a monthly series which spotlights an RP character from a different game each edition

Checkit Spy

Details: Create and maintain a monthly series which collects various cool articles relating to RP into one, convenient package for our readers. I will give you a useful resource in order to help you find such articles online.

Newsworthy Anchor

Details: Similar to the Checkit Spy position, but focused on 'real-life' news. Create a monthly article series which highlights and discusses RP in the mainstream media. I will give you a useful resource in order to help you find such articles online.

MMORP Reporter

Details: Create and maintain a monthly series which highlights cool RP happenings from various MMO RP communities

Video Creator

Details: Create RP-related videos for RPHQ viewers. If you have an idea for a series or just want to help with a current one, let us know below

New Projects

Shopkeeper

Prerequisites: Experience running online stores is useful but not necessary
Details: Help us build an online store which will sell the usual merch (t-shirts, stickers, buttons, etc) as well as RPG tools such as dice, books and more. We have big plans and require a dedicated individual to help us make them come true. The Shopkeeper will receive a percentage of the money made in the store.

Pixel Reward Creator

Prerequisites: Pixel art and/or graphics design experience helpful but not necessary
Details: We'd love to offer 'virtual' rewards for contests and such, but need someone to design them! The idea is to have trophy graphics of some kind for people to put in their signatures. We're open to any interpretation of this reward system and need a dedicated graphics designer to create the trophies themselves as well as help come up with ideas!

RP Academy

Details: We are interested in creating guilds across various MMORPGs to serve as OOC hubs for new RPers to learn and hone their craft. These guilds would offer events on things like RP combat training, character development, using lore in RP and more. Members would have access to a strong and dedicated group of experienced RPers to serve as personal tutors.

These guilds could exist in any MMO and would have the support and resources of RPHQ behind them. If you're interested in being involved or leading such a guild, let us know in the thread and I will message you to start brainstorming![/spoiler]
