Forum Roleplay Communities

Forum roleplay is perhaps the earliest form of Internet RP. Like all forms of RP, it's an evolution of the traditional game "Pass the Stick", in which players take turns telling a complete story. Some forum RPs allow players to do some writing for each other's characters, while other groups prefer to keep total control of their own characters, but are free to add plot elements, NPCs and other details of the shared story.
